GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World is the largest entertainment destination of its kind in South Africa. The only casino in Cape Town, it is a wonderland of round-the-clock entertainment. 18+ Winners know when to stop. The 2020 Public Ice Skating season is coming in November! The following dates/times are open to the public. It is suggested to get here early or make a reservation, to ensure you get in the time you want, as we do fill up! Adults and children have their fair share of fun at GrandWest. Children can escape to The Magic Company to enjoy thrilling arcade games, take a spin on the ice at The Ice Station, the only ice rink in Cape Town, or catch the latest blockbuster as they indulge in popcorn and slushies at the CineCentre. The last day on the ice Sunday January 10,2020; WHAT TO WEAR. While the weather for ice skating in downtown Brentwood is rarely frightful, the temperature on the ice may range from balmy to chilly. We recommend layers and, if prone to frigid fingers, mittens. We do sell both mittens and socks if you forget them.

Cape Town kids to challenge WP Rugby players at snowman building
Winter School Holidays means snowman building at the Cape Peninsula Ice Skating Rink at The Ice Station at Grandwest Casino Complex. On Wednesday, 5 October, Tim Whitehead, Tiger Bax, Adrian Kritzinger and Nick Fenton Wells will join in with the kids to help create their very own masterpieces made entirely from snow!
This is your chance to see how these guys perform on ice without a rugby ball in sight. The theme is World Cup Rugby, so kids must build a Snowman that best represents our SA rugby team. Prizes are up for grabs and kids must bring along small spades and buckets for scooping up the ice.
Normal ice skating prices apply and if your child is not skating, snowman building is R5.
It’s the school holidays but that doesn’t mean that there’s no ‘me time’ how about joining some of Franschhoek highly acclaimed chefs for three hands on cooking demonstrations to take your cooking from ok to gourmet.
